Helping the Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia

Aim

Delivering humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian refugees in Slovakia

As a result of an unnecessary and unprovoked war, an estimated 1 million Ukranians were forced to leave their homes, families and friends behind to seek refuge. 90,000 people are currently (sky news) seeking refuge in Slovakia, along with my friend who has left his Mum and Dad behind in Kiev to seek shelter from the war. My friend Tom and I want to help as much as we can and bring the much needed sanitary, baby and food supplies to the people currently seeking refuge in Slovakia. We won't be able to help everyone, as much as we want to, but we will join the thousands of people that have already helped the Ukrainian people from around the world. While we understand that a lot of charities are set up to help people, we want to help directly and ensure that the money and resources that you generously donate will be received by the people.

We will pay for our own accommodation and food whilst we are travelling and staying there. We are planning to go on 16 March until the 20th and help as many people as we can. Any donations that come after our time in Slovakia will go to the various established charities that help the Ukrainian people. 

No one should have to experience these atrocities that are currently on repeat from Ukraine on our televisions.
