So this is me, James, 43, Kilt wearing Scotsman. Wanting to make a positive change, Please read on and help if you can 😊 xx
Copper Pot's story began 8 years ago when my ex-wife and I purchased the land, driven by the desire to build a life off-grid and raise a family. Our dream was not only to create a sustainable haven but also to make a positive impact on the local community. We envisioned a place where guests could experience the beauty of nature while supporting local businesses and initiatives.
However, the unexpected challenges of the past few years have brought significant setbacks. The strain of the COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with the end of our relationship, has left me burdened with a substantial loan. As a result, I have been unable to move forward with our plans to develop two areas that could provide crucial support to those in need.
Yet, amidst the difficulties, the spirit of resilience burns bright. I firmly believe in the power of community and the strength we find in supporting one another. That is why I reach out to you now, to ask for your help in realising our shared vision.
Your contribution can make a world of difference in transforming Copper Pot into a place of resilience and empowerment. With your support, we can turn one of the areas into a dedicated space for community workshops, offering valuable resources and practical skills to uplift individuals and families facing hardships, Where people who are lonely and struggling can come and use my tools to carve/whittle/make some crafts/knit/read and have a hot drink, They can chat or just sit there in company...I would ask £5 a day for this to cover costs if people can afford it, If not, I'll cover it myself. The second area will become a small sanctuary focused on mental health and well-being, providing therapeutic activities and nature to promote healing and growth, Where people can hang a sleeping hammock or put up their own bivvy and just relax for a couple of nights. This area will be free, But donations to cover costs would again be appreciated But not mandatory. Copper Pot is not a charity, But I very much want to give back and help people if I can.
By joining us on this journey, you become an integral part of a movement that uplifts and empowers those who need it most. Your donation will not only help us overcome current obstacles but will also create a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community.
Whether you buy a stay, A walking stick or donate some money, Every single pound helps....if enough people donated £1 each, The Copper Pot would be safe and free from constraints, would be able to finish those two areas for people in need.
Together, let us write the next chapter of Copper Pot's story. Donate today and contribute to our vision of resilience and empowerment. Together maybe we can build a brighter future xx
