Helping a Family of 8 Recover After a Kitchen Fire

Aim

Provide relief for a family of 8, including 6 special-needs kids, after a kitchen fire—help replace essentials and restore stability.

On the night of January 8th, a kitchen fire turned this family’s world upside down.

I am the caregiver for this household of eight, including six children with special needs, ages 3 to 10. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, the fire caused significant damage and disrupted the safe, familiar environment these children depend on every day.

This home provided structure, routine, and comfort—things that are especially important for children with special needs. The fire resulted in the loss of essential household items, clothing, and equipment, and the family is now facing temporary housing needs and unexpected expenses as they work to recover.

As their caregiver, I see the emotional toll this has taken on the children and their family. They are doing their best to stay strong, but they need support during this difficult time.

Funds raised will help cover:

    •    Temporary housing and daily living expenses

    •    Clothing and essential household items

    •    Specialized items needed for the children

    •    Recovery and repair costs
