Ziferblat was recently burgled by heartless criminals, causing around £310 in loss/damages.
Dear friends of Ziferblat:
We don't usually like crowdfunding as the money raised often goes into a black box with little to no accountability but this time we really need your kindness and generosity.
Last Saturday 24th of July we opened Ziferblat in the morning and discovered that we had been burgled the previous night. We found that our door was broken into and our home was disturbed and cased through by the heartless burgles.

We suffered the following loss & damages:
Ipad (£60)
Speaker (£30)
Smashed front door glass (£220 to replace)
£50 cash
Broken door & lock
Bafflingly, the burgles even took our biscuits and hot chocolate!

Unfortunately, it is one of these cases where the relative low value of the damages means the police is not dedicated to the investigation, and the perpetrators are very unlikely to be caught. It is also the case that the value of damages would have fallen within any business insurance excess.
Therefore, we are reaching out with a fundraising goal of £375. This should cover the stolen cash and replacing the IPad, speaker, the front door glass, and £15 worth of crowdfunder.co.uk fees. The broken door should be covered by our building insurance.
While £375 might be objectively small, it is a very significant amount for us as we are still struggling to recover from the lockdowns: for instance, our director Elena's take home pay has been much lower than minimum wage and is projected to remain so for the foreseeable future, in order to keep Ziferblat afloat!
We thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
