Westcliff Kollel is currently supporting Orthodox Jewish families in Westcliff-On-Sea who are suffering from poverty, which has worsened due to cost of living increases.
The annual inflation rate in the UK rose to over 12% in the last quarter of 2022, returning to the 40-year high hit inflation and surpassing market expectations of a 10% rate.
Soaring prices for electricity, gas and home fuels has left many families struggling to keep their home warm. With 1 in 4 children in Westcliff-On-Sea living in poverty. With many parents do not work or are economically inactive due to long-term sickness.
