Rather than individual tips, we've created a staff celebration fund to go towards giving the team a brilliant end-of-season celebration.

At Three Rivers Pitch & Paddle, we’re incredibly proud to provide employment opportunities for local young people, many of whom have joined us at the very beginning of their working lives.

Before the summer season even began, our team put in a huge amount of work and training to prepare. They completed first aid and rescue boat training, developed their paddling skills, learnt about customer service, site safety and cleaning standards, and took on all the many responsibilities that come with looking after a busy campsite, paddlesports centre and shop.

Then summer arrived — and what a summer it was! ☀️

Through some exceptionally hot and incredibly busy weeks, our young team worked so hard. They welcomed guests, served customers, cleaned facilities, helped with paddlesports and activities, kept the site running and, most importantly, did it all with enthusiasm and a smile.

One of the loveliest parts of the season has been the number of customers who have taken the time to come and find us simply to tell us how brilliant our young team members have been.

Several customers even asked whether there was a way they could leave something towards an end-of-season celebration for the team. That gave us the idea for this Crowdfunder.

What are we raising money for?

Before our team head back to school, college and university, we are inviting everyone to get together for a well-deserved end-of-season celebration on Sunday September 6th to say thank you for everything they have put into Three Rivers this summer.

All money raised will be used to celebrate and thank our wonderful young team at the end of the season. Contributions will go towards their food, drinks and other costs associated with the celebration, with any additional funds raised being used for the benefit of our team.

The Team always request to get on the water together and Three Rivers closes the paddlesport hire centre for the day and provides the team paddle.

There is absolutely no expectation to contribute, but for those customers who have asked how they can say an extra thank you — or anyone who would simply like to recognise a group of hardworking local young people — even a small contribution would mean a great deal.

We couldn't have had the summer we've had without them, and we'd love to finish the season by showing them just how appreciated they are. 💛
