Aim

Help PAM to feed community's most vulnerable people with emergency food boxes during theCOVID-19 crisis

WHO WE ARE 

PROVIDE A MEAL is a Portsmouth based charity that uses a web and mobile application to feed people in need through community donation without giving out cash. Pre-COVID-19 days, our application served food to vulnerable people. This includes refugees, low income families and the homeless. Leading to healthier, happier more connected lives for our beneficiaries. 

With the current outbreak of Covid-19, we began to see fewer people  being able to access nutritious food every day through our partner restaurants as some of the restaurants are now closed. This is very worrying particularly at a time when healthy food is pivotal to helping to build body immunity to fight disease. Many have lost their jobs and facing serious financial difficulties. This is increasing the number of people experiencing food poverty.

HOW WE ARE CHANGING TO MEET NEEDS

Right now, the future of PAM and our most vulnerable community members; refugees, elderly living alone and students that their parents are abroad is looking very uncertain. Preventing these vulnerable people from hunger is one of the things we can do to help at this time. We are dropping off emergency food boxed for them and with your help we can do a lot more.

We will be working with our existing referrers, schools and other agencies to identify those that most in need and with our volunteers from across Portsmouth, we are  dropping off the emergency food boxes. 

THE ASK

We want to raise at least £4,000 to enable us buy more food items to fill the boxes. The more money we raise, the more food boxes we can provide and deliver to those that need them the most.

The health of Portsmouth during and after this global pandemic is in our hands. Please support us to help us support our local families to stay healthy.
