A Star Table for a Rising Star...

Aim

We are raising £2000 to help cover the cost of a professional grade Star Snooker Table for rising Snooker prodigy Dylan Smith, aged 12.

It’s become very clear after his recent impressive showing in the World Junior tournament in Malta, that his practice facilities need to improve within the next six month to allow to him reach his full potential. Dylan made the last 32 in this world tournament and received praise from his fellow competitors, including the semi-pro 16 year-old Chinese player Yi Ze Wu.

I knew Dylan had a gift when he was just 10 years old. We were on holiday and they had a snooker table at the holiday camp. He asked me if he could have a go as I was playing, and so I set up a long red for him. He potted it first try, despite barely being able to reach.

Dylan has practiced and played with incredible dedication and skill, whether he’s beating famous players like Cliff Thorburn in exhibition matches or competing on the world stage for the first time in early January.

But we need to help Dylan raise his game by giving him the best opportunities possible, and as we all know it’s the practice time that makes all the difference. To do that, Dylan needs to be practicing on the same professional Star tables that most professional and some junior tournaments are played on. If you have ever watched a match of snooker on the TV, you have seen one of these very highly specified tables.

The total cost of one of these table is over £8,000. Most of that total will be raised by family members and Dylan’s supporters. But we will need your help in raising the remaining amount. We are asking for your help in raising £2,000 toward the cost of purchase, shipping and installation of this essential Star table.

With your help Dylan’s practice routine will be greatly improved and he will have access to a quality practice room as many of his peers have. Dylan’s career is just beginning and will see him competing in both a National, European and World stages in the coming years.

 We will be holding an exhibition night to launch this wonderful new facility with many ViP guests in attendance, and rewards for your support are as follows:

Bronze Level:

All backers, however small, will receive a signed photograph of Dylan and updates on the installation of the table, as well as an invitation to the opening exhibition evening. You will also receive a shout-out on all of Dylan's social media channels and we will be shooting a video where Dylan will read out everybody's name who has backed him!  

Silver level:

£75 and over

You will get all the benefits of Bronze Level, as well as two free tickets to attend his exhibition. 

Gold level:

£150 and over

You get all the benefits of Silver level, as well as a chance to play the young star in a frame of snooker and four free tickets to the exhibition.
