Aim

We will be bringing people together over a hot, nutritious meal while giving them the chance to meet others and socialise

Christmas is always a hard time for so many, and it's even more challenging this year. Lots of people are struggling to choose between turning the heating on and putting food on the table. Right now, people need a safe space to sit with others and enjoy a warm meal. Already many people use our Community Canteens, and we expect to see this to continue to increase during December, and beyond. 

We will be bringing the community together over a healthy meal, offering our guests the chance to enjoy good company and food. Volunteers will turn surplus produce into nutritious three course meals whilst providing a welcoming atmosphere and the chance for members of the community to socialise and meet new people. Our doors will be open to anyone who needs good food and conversation.

This project will create connections within the Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth communities, as people bond over food. It will ease the hardship and challenges of Christmas time, into the new year, and beyond.

All donations help: 

£5  will help us provide a starter for one of our guests, 

£15 will cover the cost of a main course and dessert, 

£25 ensures a guest gets a three course meal, and festive extras.

This project successfully funded on 29th December 2022
