We're hoping to raise the money needed to bring a dearly loved one home from France via ambulance
When a loved one is critically ill, what helps them through all of their pain is knowing that they have the love, care, support and presence of their family members around them to guide them. That is why we are setting up this page as we try desperately to reunite our loving husband, brother, son, uncle and friend – David Foulds-Young – with his family in England.
David and his husband Adam moved to France for a dream life inspired by "Escape to the Chateau", spending every penny they had bringing an unloved building back to life to welcome paying guests.

However, within months of uprooting their lives, COVID struck and de-railed their plans. Against the odds they weathered this particular storm and were able to open their doors to guests in July 2021, even appearing on the Channel 4 Documentary ‘A New Life in the Sun’. Their world has, however, tragically been brought into turmoil again as a result of that most aggressive and heart-breaking of diseases: Cancer.
David has been heroically fighting this horrible illness for well over a year now but sadly it has become so aggressive that he is fighting for his life in France. Adam and David are working so hard but they really need the help of family and friends to bring them all together at this period of life in which there may not be much time left together. Sadly, David's family are unable to get him the required ambulance support to be brought back to the UK so we’re putting out this heartfelt plea to any friends, family members and anyone who wants to see a loved one reunited with family, to help fund an ambulance repatriation to enable him to come home.
Any support you can offer will mean so much and every bit of support will give David more precious time with his loved ones.
Thank you for your support, love and well wishes.
