We'd love to raise enough money to buy our own stage, meaning we can bring the cost of using our performance space down for our customers!
Raising enough funds to purchase our own stage for Morley Live CIC would create a lasting benefit for both our organisation and the wider community in Morley and Leeds.
Currently, hiring staging equipment adds significant costs to events and room hire, which can limit accessibility for local artists, community groups and organisers. Owning our own stage would remove this ongoing expense, allowing us to reduce hire fees and make the space more affordable for grassroots musicians, educators, and community-led activities. This directly supports inclusivity, ensuring more people—regardless of financial means—can access a professional performance environment.
A permanent stage would also improve the quality and consistency of events, creating a better experience for audiences and performers alike. It would enable us to host more frequent gigs, workshops and community events without additional setup costs, strengthening Morley Live as a creative hub.
Ultimately, this investment would allow us to reinvest more into fair pay for artists, community projects and music education, helping sustain and grow the local creative scene for the long term.
