Let’s make St Peter’s safer, brighter and more welcoming - one floor at a time!

Every step matters

At St Peter’s Care Home, our corridors and communal spaces are at the heart of daily life. They’re where residents head to enjoy a meal, join an activity in the Concert Hall, catch up with friends or simply spend time together.

But well-used floors don’t last forever! We’re raising £117,000 to replace the flooring across eight areas of St Peter’s, helping make these much-loved spaces safer, cleaner, more comfortable and more inviting.

More than just a new floor

For older people, especially anyone who feels unsteady on their feet, a smooth, even floor can make a real difference. New, hard-wearing flooring will help residents move around with greater confidence and independence, while creating a cleaner, fresher environment for residents, families, staff and visitors.

And these aren’t just corridors and rooms - they’re part of home. The Dining Room brings people together over meals, the Concert Hall is a place for activities and special occasions, and the corridors connect residents with the people and places that make each day meaningful.

The new flooring will cover eight areas:

•    Sunshine Corridor

•    Kitchen Corridor

•    Dining Room Corridor

•    Rear Entrance Corridor

•    Corridor to the Flats

•    Independent Flats – Ground Floor Corridor

Every donation helps us get there

The full project will cost £117,000, including VAT. Your donation, whatever its size, will help us take another step towards giving residents the safe, welcoming spaces they deserve.

•    £25 could help towards flooring materials and preparation.

•    £50 could help improve the shared spaces residents use every day.

•    £100 could contribute towards specialist preparation and installation.

•    £500 could make a meaningful contribution towards transforming an area.

•    £1,000+ could help us make substantial progress towards our target.
