Help us open Leavened bakery shop in Old Town

Hello.

First of all I would like to thank every single one of you for the wonderful support we have received so far. I can assure you that I never thought we would get this far with crowdfunding and your reaction to us opening a shop in Old Town has been amazing! It turns out that everyone either lives or works in that area!

I also wanted to let you know how we are doing with progress on the works so far. The small refurbishment we are doing is going well, we have most of the counter ready and one wall is being stripped from paint for the rather rustic and modern feel (I fell in love with naked walls when I went to a coffee bar The Milkman in Edinburgh and it stuck with me for a year). We also already managed to secure a small bread oven (it will fit 12 loaves at a time) and this means we will be able to run workshops! There is still a lot of work do be done with plumbing and electrics but I am hoping that we will open our doors for you in the middle of May as the latest. In the meantime we are still rather busy baking bread and pastries in the market so please do come if you require to feed yourself some proper sourdough.

To those who pledged the quiz night and are worried that you would be away at the time we organise it, please be assured we will find a date that suits all of you and considering it is going to be summer holiday we might move it to September when everyone is around, we will be in touch.
