Every cat and dog who comes through our doors has a different story.

Some arrive frightened and unsure. Some need veterinary treatment. Some need time to recover, put on weight or simply learn that they are safe.

And some just need someone to be there for them.

At RSPCA Sheffield, we want to be able to give every animal in our care what they need for as long as they need us.

We want to keep saying YES.

• Yes to the veterinary appointment when an animal is unwell.
• Yes to the treatment and medication that can help them recover.
• Yes to a full bowl and good food to help them grow stronger.
• Yes to a warm, comfortable place to rest.
• And yes to the little things too – a favourite treat, a new toy, enrichment and time with people who care.

Because those little things matter.

More than food and veterinary bills

Looking after an animal is about so much more than providing somewhere for them to stay.

Imagine arriving somewhere completely unfamiliar and not understanding why you're there.

New sounds. New smells. New people.

For some of the animals who come to us, it can take time before they begin to feel safe.

That's why treats, toys, enrichment, comfortable bedding and individual attention aren't luxuries. They are all part of helping an animal settle, build confidence and prepare for the next stage of their life.

A toy can encourage a nervous cat to play.

A favourite treat can help build trust.

A comfortable bed can give an exhausted animal somewhere safe to sleep.

And patient, loving care can help an animal begin to realise that life can be good again.

When they need more

Sometimes an animal needs much more than everyday care.

Veterinary treatment is a vital part of our work.

An animal may need examinations, tests, medication, dental treatment, an operation or ongoing care before they are ready to find a new home.

When that happens, we don't want the first question to be:

“Can we afford it?”

We want to be able to ask:

“What does this animal need?”

And then do everything we reasonably can to provide it.

Your support helps us do that.

Every animal deserves their chance

We can't predict who will need us next.

It might be a tiny kitten needing warmth, food and care.

It might be a young dog needing reassurance and training.

It might be an older animal who needs veterinary treatment and somewhere comfortable to recover.

Whatever their age, whatever their story and however long their journey takes, they deserve the chance to move forward.

That's what this campaign is about.

Not simply paying bills.

It's about what those bills represent.

Food. Treatment. Comfort. Recovery. Trust. Happiness. Hope.

And ultimately, the chance of a new beginning.

Money raised through Help Us Keep Saying YES will support the everyday care of cats and dogs at RSPCA Sheffield, including:

• Veterinary examinations and treatment

• Medication and ongoing healthcare

• Comfortable bedding and everyday essentials

• Toys and enrichment

• Treats and those little extras that can make an animal's day

• The care and support animals need as they prepare for their next chapter

Every animal's needs are different, so your donation will help us provide care wherever it is needed most.

You don't have to give a huge amount to be part of this.

£5 can help fill a bowl.

£10 can help provide treats, toys and enrichment.

£20 can help towards the everyday comfort and care an animal needs.

£30 can contribute towards veterinary care and medication.

£50 can make a significant contribution towards an animal's journey through our care.

And if you're able to give more, your support can help us be there for even more animals who need us.

Sheffield's animals need Sheffield behind them

RSPCA Sheffield is here for local cats and dogs who need care, compassion and another chance.

But we can't do it alone.
