Aim

We are asking for your help to continue serving our community in the years to come.

Intro

The Breeze Yoga Team are raising funds to rebuild and recover from the tremendous impact that the pandemic had on our beloved studio.

Our aim is to raise £15,000. If we reach our target, every person who donated will be entered into a Prize Draw to win 1 Year Annual Peak Membership, worth £1,100.

Who are we?

We are a dedicated space devoted to Yoga and wellbeing in Beckenham, South London. Our studio has served the local community for over 11 years so far, offering various types of classes such as Hot Yoga, Flow, Hatha, Senior, Iyengar, Prenatal, Thai, Kids & Teens, Traditional Vinyasa, Yin and Pilates, as well as workshops and events, covering all aspects of yoga and holistic health from our bespoke Hot and Traditional Studios and Therapy Rooms.

Over the years we have witnessed fantastic growth and transformation in our staff, teachers and students alike, many of whom are now very experienced and devoted practitioners and proud members of our community. At Breeze, we pride ourselves on high standards and exceptional level of teaching, and consider our teachers an important part of our family. You can expect to be greeted at reception from our phenomenal team, who will instantly make you feel at ease, reflecting on the studio’s slogan ‘Freedom to Be’ welcoming people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Breeze is so proud that many of our students consider us their ‘second home’, a sanctuary where they can feel supported and guided through the stresses of modern life.

The Pandemic

As many other businesses in our sector, Breeze has been heavily impacted by the pandemic. As the nation went into the Lockdown 1.0, we were in the middle of the big refurbishment. The timing was quite unfortunate, as it drained a lot of our financial resources. We quickly and successfully moved our classes online, but our main attraction comes from our purpose-built Hot studio, which features a sophisticated temperature-controlled heating system with constant fresh air circulation. This was hard to replicate in the virtual setting. Despite of that, a number of our members have continued practising with us online, enabling us to continue to financially support our teachers, and cover some of the rental and fixed studio costs over the last year. When we reopened in August 2020 we were faced with the prospect of having to reduce the number of classes, duration and capacity. As a result of Covid many of our clients and members remained shielding or in isolation, which meant the business continued to suffer. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, our landlord and the government’s help, we have made it this far. But as every other business heavily reliant on footfall, we are quite concerned about our future. A year on, we have a big backlog of rent, bounce back loan and huge fixed studio costs, that will be hard to meet with a reduced number of members and studio capacity, especially once all the government help ceases.

How can you help?

Breeze Yoga is a big space and just to open the doors without the teachers and staff wages, costs us over £15,000 each month. Your donations will help with the overheads that come with having large commercial premises and keeping the space safe and clean. We will be working hard to slowly rebuild our community, our offering and explore new ways we can best utilise our space. We believe that as the country is nearing the end of this terrible pandemic, Breeze is needed more than ever to provide yoga and mindfulness, and to encourage everyone to live healthier lifestyles. The importance of community cannot be underestimated, and we want to be there to provide support to all those in need, who have been benefiting not just from the physical exercise, but mental and emotional support over the years.

By helping Breeze, you will help support our staff, therapists and teachers to continue doing what they are so passionate about, supporting our community! We employ over 60 different teachers, therapists, and reception staff, who all depend on our studio weathering this crisis. We know there are so many businesses out there that need support, but we hope that the benefits we offer at Breeze will inspire you to donate whatever you can afford.

Any and all help would be appreciated!
