Aim

This project is aimed to support Brayden in medical expenses, and provide relief to expenses received by his Father Mother and Step Mother

Its hard to find the words to put out there right now but im going to do my best. August 8th was the best day of my life, and everything was becoming a dream come true. I just married my best friend, and we were headed south on our honeymoon.

August 11th, while over 1000 miles from home it immediately turned into my absolute worst nightmare. I got a call, Brayden, my son, my replacement in this world and the apple to my eye was in an accident. 

He was immediately taken to the emergency room, and given medical care required to help keep him alive and promptly life flighted to harborview medical center. He was diagnosed with two temporal bone skull fractures and had severe brain bleeding and bruising. This required surgery, a Craniotomy to remove part of his skull to allow the brain to swell and lower pressure against it. Following the surgery, and MRI revealed a second bleed on the opposite side of the brain, resulting in a second surgery within an hour of the first being completed. 

After a double craniotomy, he has come back out of it and has a lot of complications we will need to work through as time goes on, physical cognitive rehab, memory loss of some of our most precious memories together. The list goes on.. Im not sure where to start in all of this as the logistics of life continue to pile up as it's taken me this long to process everything by his mother and step mothers side. 

We have an incredible support system dynamic between us, and are often looked at as role model parents for those trying to co parent. His mother and step mother have a great friendship, and his mother and I always are able to quiet the noise and see eye to eye. I want to make this clear, the purpose of this fundraiser is to help with Braydens medical expenses and all three of our expenses received along the way. Both his mother and I are on medical leave from work and all three of us will be by his side while he recovers. This will be an ongoing inpatient recovery coordinated between Harborview Medical Center and Children's Hospital. His mother, Kimmy has her daughter Brooklyn, and Bailey and I have our daughter Briella that we are having to support and find care for as Brayden recovers. 

I am so beyond thankful for my village surrounding our son.. We ask for prayers to get through this time, if you can afford to help, we welcome it but if not please share to spread the word and help Brayden navigate this time. Im not sure where to start or how to face any of this but we are taking this day by day. Thankful that God placed his hand of protection over my one and only son.
