Enable the halls at St Andrew's Methodist Church to continue to be used by paying the increase in the heating bills.
St Andrew's Methodist Church Sheringham has 2 halls that are extensively used by people in our community.
We offer a Warm Space weekly and a Community Cafe weekly too.
The Indoor Bowls Club, Table Tennis Club and Badminton Club allow people to meet with others and enjoy their chosen activity.
People coming from our local community find a place of welcome, company friendship and mutual support.
At our Warm Space we have unlimited cups of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We enjoy a bowl of soup together and activities such as card games, chess, backgammon, jigsaw puzzles and mindfulness colouring.
Our Community cafe regularly attracts between 30 and 40 people to enjoy a 2 course lunch with tea and coffee too.
Indoor bowls is enjoyed with groups meeting on three days and one half day.
Table tennis and badminton are enjoyed weekly.
We are fundraising to help to pay the heating bills that have increased five times over. We do not want to discontinue any activities but continue to offer them. Groups using the halls make a donation but those making use of the facilities are impacted by the cost of living crisis and there is a shortfall in income to meet the bills.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend the money we raise to cover the shortfall in our heating bills.
