UPDATE
We are now in Poland helping as many people as we can, it's so sad, I cannot even put it into words. Having seen the number of families, children and elderly people so desperate for help we have upped our target to that we can help many more.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, we are truly humbled by your kindness.
Please keep sharing this page, your donations mean everything to these people
We cannot simply sit back and do nothing.
My friend Simon and I have arranged a trip from Devon to Lviv, Ukraine, in order to transport refugees to the Polish border.
We intend on doing 4-5 trips a day, the distance from Lviv to the Polish border is 60 kilometres (40 miles) therefore we will need as much help as possible with the cost of fuel.
We have been lucky enough to secure a minibus to help transport refugees as well as desperately needed supplies donated by the 'Help From Bournemouth to Ukraine' Charity, to the Polish border.
We intend to leave for Lviv Tuesday and have arranged to pick up charitable donations from collection points in Bournemouth.
We are hoping to raise enough money to cover mini-bus hire and fuel.
Simon and I are deeply moved by the devastating situation in Ukraine and would like to leave ASAP before things get worse.
We are raising money to make as many trips as we can, and fuel money is essential, in order to get these poor people to safety.
If you are not in a position to donate then a simple share would be greatly appreciated, so that we can gain more awareness.
If we raise more money than we need we will donate all money raised to Action Aid.
Together we can make a positive difference to these families, your help is beyond appreciated.
Many thanks
Simon and Brian.
