Aim: We're a student theatre group looking to get a new comedy to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Wait, Why Don’t We Just Build A Boy is the newest, silliest comedy by Kilda Kennedy. Coming from the sold out run of her debut and award-winning work Cyrano De Puppet, Brot Company and Mermaids is bringing the Edinburgh Fringe her fun, girlie modern take on Frankenstein which promises to be equal parts ridiculous, funny and sweet. The Fringe is expensive however, particularly for struggling students so any donations you could provide to make this vision a reality would be really appreciated.
After driving her friends crazy with complaining she hasn’t found her perfect man yet, Dolly’s best friends bring her a man raised from the dead for her to train into the ideal match. Only thing is… what does a perfect man even look like?
Featuring some of pop culture’s favourite heartthrobs, Wait, Why Don’t We Just Build A Boy is a Rocky Horror meets Frankenstein fever dream; a fun, flirty and feminine examination of female desire and unrealistic expectations.

Putting on a show at the Edinburgh Fringe is a once in a lifetime experience, however it’s also one of the most expensive experiences to the performing companies. We’d use any money we raise to help offset the price for accommodation, travel and general production expenses. We’re so lucky to have been given this opportunity and we want to make it as accessible to our cast and crew as possible. We’d be immensely grateful for any support you could provide.
Let's build a play together ;-)
