Our aim is to renovate a disused room in NYCC's youth centre in Edmonton Green, creating a safe space & fun games room for young people.
Hello,
We are an ambitious group of young people who are part of a Design Leaders program working with Community Interest Company Beyond The Box. We are delivering this project for the NYCC Youth Community, and we need your help!
We plan to renovate a disused room in NYCC's youth centre in Edmonton Green, London, creating an inclusive, safe space and games room for all to enjoy.

We started our project in September, creating ideas for the space and designing different room layouts. We worked with the other young people at NYCC to see what they wanted most, allowing young people, like us, to learn new skills and come together to design a safe space for other youth.
We’ve been learning to develop our essential skills in teamwork and communication and understand how we can be a force for change in our community.

The project aligns with NYCC’s ambitions of creating spaces that support and facilitate young people in the community in various ways, including delivering bespoke programmes, running workshops and mentoring and promoting sociability amongst young people.
