DFK require a new oven and other equipment to allow us to continue cooking and serving hot meals to the isolated with in our community

Dean Forest Kitchen is more than a Meals on Wheels service

If you live alone and you are unable to cook, or if you need someone to pop in to say hello with a lovely hot meal, then DFK will be there for you.

Whatever your age or your circumstances, our services is not just about delivering meals, it is about helping people maintain their independence at home.

All of our delivery team are fully trained and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked. They are a regular face delivering your meals and providing a friendly service.

DFK is more than just a meal delivery. We are a hidden service to the community.

We are friendly, compassionate, empathetic. We care about our clients and their wellbeing.

BUT...

Our kitchen equipment is now getting past its best and we need to buy a new oven and other bits of equipment for us to continue our service. Our service is run on very tight margins and with rising food cost, staff costs and cost of fuel there is no surplus money to renew essential equipment

We would also like to raise funds to purchase an electric van to cut the costs of delivery but also to help with our commitment to climate change. Our main drivers deliver over a large area of the rural environment here in the Forest of Dean where areas of population are wide spread.
