Create Leamington Spa's first Japanese sake and whisky bar! A space to relax and let conversations flow.
About The Lucky Shiba
By day, it’s light, calm, and quietly refined—natural wood, soft tones, and space to breathe. By night, it shifts. Lights dim, vinyl spins, and the room hums with the warmth of a tucked-away Tokyo listening bar.
At The Lucky Shiba, we pour carefully chosen sake and Japanese whisky—nothing showy, just genuinely exceptional. Whether you know your way around a bottle or you’re just curious, you’ll feel at home here.
City pop plays on vinyl. Glasses clink. Conversations drift, and time slows down.
It’s a small place, intentionally so. A space for people who appreciate good taste, good sound, and good company—without the fuss.
Come for a quiet drink. Stay for the vibes.
Did that grab your attention? If yes, this project has been designed with you in mind.
We are James and Laura, business owners of a little Japanese imports store in Leamington Spa. We have been lucky enough to have our bricks and mortar store in the heart of Leamington Spa for 5 years!

Occasionally, we have acquired temporary licensing to support our customers' growing demand for Japanese alcohol, in the form of takeaway bottles and Sake tasting workshops. We have been blown away by the turnout these events bring and would love to offer the people of Leamington and those from afar a unique and refreshing bar specialising in Japanese alcoholic beverages, with a range of takeaway options for gifting and at-home indulgence.

What your contributions will help us with
Your contributions will help us create a comfortable and authentic Japanese sake bar, and help us afford the special touches that will make our bar unique.
Your contributions will also help us design and implement a variation of seating zones, ambience through perfect lighting and mood with specially selected fixtures and curated finishing touches.
Although we are already in the process of securing our venue, your contributions will help us with the legal fees, application fees, stocking fees and the commercial fit-out that are integral to creating The Lucky Shiba Sake and Whisky bar. Realistically, this project is likely to cost us upwards of £25,000... but let's see what we can do!
