Help us buy an Ultrasound Scanner for Wild Mammals

Aim: We want to buy a Veterinary Ultrasound Scanner to diagnose if female mammals are pregnant & to detect internal conditions

We are a hedgehog and small wild mammal charity rescue based in west Cornwall.  I am Jill, founder of Hedgepigs and Hoglets Rescue and we have been rescuing, treating and releasing hedgehogs since 2016. We now admit all small mammals and we plan to treat foxes and badgers as soon as we can too.  We have a lovely little treatment building with lots of incubators, an oxygenator and new cages but the only resource we lack now is an ultrasound scanner to enable us to find out if our female mammals (hedgehogs, rabbits, foxes, badgers etc) are pregnant so that we give them the right medication or if they have internal conditions we need to treat them for.

IMV Imaging have offered us a colour veterinary ultrasound scanner from with 2 probes and training for £9,600 (this would normally be £12,237)

We pride ourselves in offering work experience to colleges and special educational need students and so training to use this resource will form part of our students learning too
