Aim: Baby Eliel was born at just 29weeks old, and is fighting for his life. Please support his family with some of the medical costs they face.

Whilst on their World Challenge travels in Ecuador, the group from Bell Baxter High School has been warmly welcomed into the homes of a local community.

During their stay, they have become aware of baby Eliel Collaguazo Medina, who is the grandson of their generous host, and is currently fighting hard for his life.

Baby Eliel was born premature at 29 weeks, weighing approximately just 800 grams.

He is fighting an infectious disease called Staphylococcus and has Sepsis, which is a bloodstream infection, and is recovering from Pneumonia.

In addition, he is suffering from a lot of vitamin deficiencies, his blood isn’t flowing properly, he can’t eat food, and because he is so premature, his Mum can’t give him milk. There is no free healthcare system in Ecuador and the cost of his treatment is crippling for the whole family who are doing everything they can.

Baby Eliel faces new challenges every day, but continues to fight hard.

Please help the Bell Baxter World Challenge group give something truly remarkable back to a family who have showed nothing but kindness, even in their time of need.

His Grandma is incredibly embarrassed to be asking for support, but is exceptionally grateful for any donation you can make.
