To raise enough funds to contribute towards the purchase of a reliable vehicle so we can carry on operating.
In 2018 having been medically discharged from the biggest delivery company (at the time) in the UK I decided to create a cost effective delivery service which would be affordable to all, from single items to full house moves.
I took all what I had saved and purchased a mark 7 Ford Transit and set off to create Handy Delivery Solutions. Two and a half years later and having driven 250.000 miles in the trusty transit it was time to let it go due to failing its mot on a huge amount of work it didn't make sense to spend more on it than it was worth.
Durin the first two and a half years COVID struck and halted the world including myself and I found myself delivering mostly PPE to care homes and other areas of the care sector. While the world was at a standstill everybody was at home fixing up their homes and needed a collection and delivery service so we were the come to guys to make this happen...so thats what we did.
Shortly after and durin the pandemic we got recruited by official's to move people out of hostile homes and environments to places of safety so they could start a happy and free lives (I can't give anymore info on this for obvious reasons) and performed many of these and currently still do.
Unfortunately having purchased a new vehicle from the marketplace in 2021 it would appear that the vehicle was not as described and deemed extremely dangerous to be on the road and we lost everything that we had saved and spent it on the van without even putting it out to work...and lost the lot!
Being left with no other choice we had to hire on a long term basis which we are still currently doing. The hire company have been an absolute godsend to us and have accommodated our every need but with a bill of close to £20.000 per year its becoming extremely difficult to save to make another vehicle purchase and being completely honest I'm not even sure we can continue operating having this overhead.
Being so passionate about the service that we provide i really don't want the final curtain call and having invested almost 6 years it would be a shame so thats why I've come to this platform to ask for help. We still want to keep our services in reach financially for everyone and would like to keep it that way. Help is not normally what I ask for but it is worth a try so we don't have to hang up the keys permanently and we can carry on doing what we do best.
A new reliable van including the dreaded VAT can range from £20.000-£50.000 which we just don't have thats why we need a little help to reach our goal.
Please don't feel that we are begging or unworthy or feel obliged to donate we just want to carry on helping you with a service that you can rely on.
