Help the Golden Lion

2020 has been a very tough year, we have been open for only half of it. Up until now we have managed, but the recent November lockdown and the prospect of reopening in tier 2(maybe) are making things very very uncomfortable. We are a live music venue and the restrictions placed upon us, have us on a knife edge. 

Covid has hit everyone hard but we can't hold on much longer without help. 

Bristol has an amazing live music scene, that we are extremely proud to be part of. We love being a huge part of peoples lives, from the bands that play on our stage almost every day, to the staff we employ and the amazing music lovers and supporters who come to enjoy themselves and the music. So many brilliant bands have played here over the years. To think that is in jeopardy is horrible.

We are asking for a small donation from as many people as possible to help us pay the bills while we have no income. Hopefully we can open in some capacity soon, but until then the bills will keep stacking up, with very little help from the government.

We know its a big ask at the moment, and we certainly don't expect the earth.

Obviously we aren't planning on asking without giving something in return though. In summer, when restrictions are fully lifted, we plan on throwing a huge, free, all day gig. With as many bands and performers as time will allow. So if you're a band that would like to get involved, please get in touch.
