Help the Feminist Library build its new home

Thanks to supporters like you, we have by now smashed our initial, basic £30,000 Crowdfunder target to get the Library to its new home in Spring 2019. This will enable us to move the Library and cover all the basic costs of the refit of the new building.

Since the start of our crowdfunding campaign, we have also received close to £20,000 in off-line donations, from generous Trade Union branches, feminist organisations and individual donors. We are immensely grateful to each and every supporter for helping build the new Feminist Library home. Which means we now only need to reach a target of £48,000 online to enable us to cover our full move budget of £65,000, which would enable us to make all the intended improvements to the new space that would safeguard our precious collections and vital community space for years to come. 

We are nearly there, less than £10,000 to go now! We have until 31st March to reach our final target - help us cover the full budget NOW by spreading the word of our Crowdfunder campaign to your friends and relatives. 

Since the beginning of the year, we have also seen a brand new wave of fabulous volunteers joining the team at the Library, to help get it ready for the move. It is incredibly heartening to see just how much support the Library has, in all its different forms.  

In the past week or two, we also had new media coverage - you can read up on our conversation with White Fox Publishing here - and we have been invited to speak about the Library and its campaign at this fabulous Show & Tell event intended to inspire young people not to give up their dreams of working in arts & culture. And last but not least, the brilliant new addition to our feminist design team, Anna Lincoln, was interviewed for the Narrative Environments blog about her work, including her latest - Feminist Library new home project!
