Our Cause:
Birmingham Solihull Women's aid (BSWA) is working together against domestic abuse providing a life-saving service in England. The tragic death of Sarah Everard has sparked a national conversation about the violence and abuse that women and girls experience daily. The student nurses at Birmingham City University alongside the Children and Young People's Health team are raising money to create essential packs for women and children when they arrive at hostels for domestic abuse. We know that most of the time these families arrive at hostels with nothing but clothes on their backs and in desperate need of essentials. Our packs will contain these essentials plus a few extras like toys and books for the children.
