Aim: Raising money to invest in an on-site canning machine to expand and help us employ more team members to cope with demand.
Based in Salford, Greater Manchester, Strange Times Brewing Co. was created at the start of 2021 by Alex and myself.
We have 25 years in the brewing industry between us and we wanted to build a business that really represented who we are and what we want. From the branding right through to the recipes, we celebrate creativity and storytelling.

Our story ideas spiralled out from where our ingredients originate to the myths and legends of those regions. We discovered artist Mina Mond (@minamondart) and knew instantly her incredible work would fit perfectly with our vision.
We decided on a core range of five vegan beers and made plans for speciality brews throughout the year. We tied each core beer to a tarot card and Mina helped us bring the names and stories together through her illustrations.
Since beginning we have built up a loyal customer base in Greater Manchester and beyond, and we have hired Aaron as an assistant brewer.
Our plan was always to get our beers into cans and the reason we put so much time into the imagery was for it to stand out on a shelf.
As it has for everyone, the pandemic somewhat slowed our growth expectations. But we now have an opportunity, with the help of donors, to take a leap forward and start to small package our beers by buying a canning machine.
Canning gives us the ability to send our beers nationwide. Having the machine onsite means we can open our online shop, sell directly to the public and keep our prices competitive.
We've made reward packages to fit with our canning project and hope there's something for anyone who would like to join us on our journey into canned Strange Times beers!
Alongside other initiatives, raising this money will secure Strange Times a much needed canning machine. Being able to can our beers will help us expand the business and widen our customer base. With that expansion will come an ability for us to create jobs in the local community and contribute more by putting on local events at the brewery in Salford.
We really hope you can help us with these goals.
