Soothe Box Company needs your help to Grow!
A year ago, I was diagnosed with Depressive Disorder. I struggled with anxiety, panic attacks and suicidal thoughts on a daily basis. During the acute stage of my illness, I truly believed that I would never recover or escape how I was feeling.
A year later, I am in a much better place thanks to the support of loved ones and the skills that I learnt throughout my recovery. So much so that I want to help others who may be in a similar place to where I was. I want people to know that they can have a meaningful life and things do get better. Sometimes it's hard to see the top when you are so far down.
Soothe Box Company is a project of love. I have put so much time and thought into building it from an idea into a tangible product. I am so excited to be able to launch but I have so many ideas of how I would like to grow the company. Soothe Box Company has been entirely self-funded so far and as I have been out of work due to illness, this has meant that I have had to start on a shoestring budget.
Ill mental health can so often make you feel like you are a burden, which is such a horrible way to feel and so far from the truth. I would love to produce a wider range of products that can be more personalised to the recipient. It would be a dream to create extra special bespoke gift packages, as well as appropriate gifts for people who are in inpatient treatment, in treatment for addiction or recovering from an eating disorder.
I feel that a bespoke or more specialised Soothe Box would help the person to remember who they are underneath the illness and how they are actually perceived by the people around them. My hope is that Soothe Box will help the recipient realise how special they really are.
