Aim
Please help make our golf club on the IOW pull through these difficult times. A warm, friendly welcome awaits members and visitors alike.
I am chairman of the management committee for Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club. During this Covid19 situation we find ourselves in tough times. We have lost all revenues and profit from our bar, catering and green fees whilst we still have to retain some staff to maintain our biggest asset, the course. We were already in a challenging financial situation and with the declining membership in golf, we were doing our best to manage our finances with an aggressive recruitment drive to enable us to keep our fees at last years level.
Our vision is to manage our club through this and come out of the other side while still maintaining as many members as possible keeping the fees at last years level.
The £5,000 raised from Solent LEP and the cash flow of the members pledges of £5,000 will go a long way to help us achieve that.
