Midnight Rodeo have been invited across the pond to play New Colossus Festival, NYC and we’d be so grateful of any help to get us there.
We formed this band around five years ago in our beloved Nottingham, each of us fresh from different projects and ready to try something new. Over half a decade we’ve grafted to build a following, sinking every scrap of time and expendable income into better equipment, touring, recording, marketing and merchandising. We were lucky enough to get signed and release an album which we’ve gone out on the road and played all over the UK and Europe for just about anyone who would listen. Needless to say we didn’t get rich along the way, but the upshot of all this effort is that the project we’re so proud of is in an incredibly exciting position, and we’re very optimistic about the future.
But nothing we’ve achieved so far would have been possible without the support of our fabulous community. Whether that’s the fans turning out whenever we’re in their town, the kind folk buying t-shirts to pay for our petrol, the journos and photographers helping us get the word out, our brother and sister bands, or the hardcore scene-heads offering us places to crash. We’re once again turning to you lovely people, cap in hand.
The New Colossus Festival is a huge showcase event that brings bands from all over the world to the Lower East Side of New York City. Taking up their generous invitation and playing some shows on the other side of the pond would be a huge opportunity for us to find new audiences, boost our profile as a band and build connections with industry bods from all over the states. Unfortunately it’s also prohibitively expensive and funding is incredibly hard to come by, so if you’re able to donate a little something to the cause we would massively, massively appreciate it.

And if you happen to be in Notts on Valentines Day, why not join us at The Grove for our Fundraiser show? Hit us with your best Dustin Hoffman Midnight Cowboy impression – it’ll be like we’re already in Manhattan. Hell, try and order a Manhattan from the bar, find out if Cameron’s hiding any sweet vermouth back there.
