We need urgent help to make sure our festival is able to take place again next year and continues to do great work for the whole community.
Save Keynsham Music Festival – Keep the Music and Art Alive!
For more than two decades, the Keynsham Music Festival has been at the heart of our town – run by voluteers, it's a celebration of music, art, creativity, and community that brings thousands together every summer. From family picnics in the park to headline performances, it’s an event that belongs to all of us.
But right now, our festival is at risk. Rising costs and reduced funding mean we urgently need your help to make sure it survives. Without the support of our community, the festival will not take place next year.
Why Keynsham Music Festival Matters
- True community festival – No ticket needed to attend, open to everyone, and powered by volunteers. It’s not just a music event – it’s a week-long celebration of arts, culture, and togetherness.
- Music for everyone - We try hard to ensure that there will always be something for everyone - from Rock, Rap, Folk, Country and Dance to Classical, Opera, Orchestra and Choirs - and everything in between!
- Family Festival - A fantastic day of entertainment where every family can also take part in activities together as a group.
- Championing young people – We provide a platform for local schools and colleges, youth groups, and emerging musicians to perform on professional stages and experience working behind the scenes. For many, this is where their journey begins.
- Concentration on local talent – From rock bands and choirs to dance groups, orchestra and spoken word, the festival gives our local performers the chance to shine.
- Provision of special facilities – Did you know we organise a special mini-festival for those living with dementia? Did you know we run special projects for vulnerable young people?
- A festival truly for everyone – Families, friends, and neighbours come together in the park, creating special memories that last a lifetime.
Why We Need Your Help
Putting on a safe, professional festival costs money – from staging and sound to security, medical and insurance. We rely on grants and sponsorship, but these alone no longer cover the rising costs. To keep the festival alive, we now need to raise £10,000.
Every single contribution, big or small, helps us:
- Keep the festival entry as donation only.
- Provide music, dance and art to suit every taste - and every age.
- Fund youth workshops and performances.
- Fund special projects for disadvantaged young people.
- Support local community groups & charities.
- Support local musicians and artists.
- Facilitate special events for those in our community who can't attend the festival itself.
- Ensure Keynsham has a festival to be proud of for years to come and keeps generating those special memories!
