Who are we?
Royal Wootton Bassett RFC is a thriving, inclusive rugby club at the heart of our local community. From minis to veterans, male & female we offer opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game in a welcoming, supportive environment. With over 1000 active members across men’s, women’s, mini & junior sections, we are proud to be growing both participation and passion for the sport every year.
Whether it's Saturday matchdays, Sunday morning youth sessions, or midweek training under the lights, our club is buzzing with life. As an entirely voluntary run club we rely on the energy of our volunteers, the support of our families, and the generosity of our wider community to provide the facilities and experience we do.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We're raising funds to build two new dugouts with secure equipment storage units at pitchside.
We currently have no pitchside facilities for our players and we desperately want to meet the needs of our growing club. Players deserve a safe, sheltered space on matchdays especially during the wet and windy British season! Coaches need somewhere close to the pitch to store equipment like post pads, cones, and tackle bags without dragging them long distances.
This project will:
- Improve safety and comfort for players and coaches
- Help us protect valuable kit and equipment
- Enhance the appearance and functionality of our pitches
- Support our continued growth, especially in junior and women's rugby
We’re applying for match funding to support this project. But we need our community to rally behind us and raise the first portion together, we can make it happen!
How we’ll spend the money raised
We are aiming to raise £20,684 to fund this pitchside improvement project. Here's how we’ll use your generous contributions:

Community impact
RWB RFC is more than just a rugby club. We're a place for kids to build confidence, for teens to learn teamwork, and for adults to stay active and connected. Our clubhouse and pitches are used year-round for training, events, and community gatherings.
Better pitchside facilities mean:
