Help Ro & her family overcome extreme hardship🙏💞

Aim

We're raising £10,000 to continually support Rowaida and her family of 8, sending funds for essential provisions during extreme hardship.

Welcome to our campaign.

My name is Demi, and I'm a volunteer with the global Mutual Aid network.

We're reaching out to our global community to collect all the available support for Ro and her family of 8, with 4 kids included in the household.

They are currently facing extreme hardship living in a worn out tent after multiple violent displacement operations, and loss of her beloved journalist uncle and cousin 🖤📹🪦📹🪦

Our aim is to provide continuous support for Ro, helping her to care and provide for herself and her beautiful family against all odds.

Their needs are extensive, mainly due to malnutrition and continuous socioeconomic injustice as humanitarian aid is relentlessly locked outside their borders.

Short term needs

Education

Ro is a distinctive university student, and is currently studying English Translation.

Her next academic semester begins in September 2026.

She still needs $300 to complete the tuition fee and enroll for the first semester of her academic year in September 2026 (TBC).

- Her family also needs school supplies for the children

- Total monthly kindergarten and school fees for her 3 little sisters and little brother:

Approximately $600.

Health conditions

- Several family members suffer from vitamin and nutrient deficiencies

- One family member has severe iron deficiency that causes fainting, with suspected malnutrition

- There are also stomach acid problems

- Ro's father has high blood pressure

- Ro's eyesight is adversely affected, causing headaches and skewed vision

- and the children suffer from skin rashes

Treatment required

- Mineral supplements

- Iron tablets

- Vitamin supplements

- Medication for stomach acid

- Blood pressure medication

- Skin rash cream

- Eyesight test and prescription glasses replacement

- A root canal filling for a damaged tooth

- Access to healthy fresh food instead of canned food

- Bottled drinking water for one family member who has kidney and salt-related health problems

Monthly treatment cost:

Approximately $250 per month (not including the cost of healthy food and bottled water)

Rent

The monthly rent for the land where their tent is located is $200.

Total

Taking into account their essential living expenses, the total monthly amount they need is approximately $1,500.

Long-term necessities 

Equipment

• Cooking gas
• Wood and metal sheets to reinforce and improve their tent as there's ongoing shooting in their area, with stray bullets injuring the displaced
• Solar panel for lighting and charging phones
• Chlorine tablets to disinfect water

Debt

They have accumulated debts for the land rent as well as debts to vegetable and food sellers.

No specific repayment plan has been set yet.

They have however been threatened that they may no longer be allowed to buy food if they do not start paying.
