A water pipe burst above our HQ and 75% of our stuff is destroyed. Can you help us get back on our feet?

 New stretch target

Any money we can raise beyond the £3000 target will help loads! Most will be spent on getting things back to the way they were in the shop front, as the costs are likely to be higher than just the original £3,000.

Anything extra will be reinvested into our programme which reaches local communities (and in particular people of all ages at risk of social isolation and/or struggling with the cost of living) in North Sheffield.

If we reach our target, we would also love to host a free, welcoming thank you event for and with the community once we're able to reopen the doors.

On Saturday 18th May we received a devastating phone call from our landlord: a water pipe had burst in the flat above our premises and 75% of our office and equipment had been damaged or destroyed.

RivelinCo is an arts and community organisation, based in Hillsborough and serving communities across North Sheffield. We are based in a shop front on Middlewood Road, which was formerly empty for over 20 years. Our small team, alongside artists and volunteers, have spent a year transforming it into an office and creative community hub - and so the news that we'll need to start from scratch again really stings.

Thankfully we have insurance, which covers the costs of replacing most of the technical equipment like our computers and printer, and our landlord has insurance which covers the major works to the floors, ceilings and walls which will be needed. However there are a few things insurance cannot cover, and the works are likely to last several weeks which will incur further costs. We're trying to raise at least £3,000 to help us get everything sorted out.

We are a small not-for-profit organisation and we don't have big reserves, so we really, really need your help. Even a small donation would make a big difference. Thank you so, so much.
