In Peterborough, third of council seats will be up for re-election in May 2023. We need to re-elect Green councillors by raising £3000.
In Peterborough, third of the council seats are up for re-election in May 2023 and we need your help.
More Green voices are vital for the environment and your support can get us over the winning line and be the real opposition on the council.
Our campaigners and local residents are keeping energy levels high with leafleting and door-knocking all year round. But this costs vital money, and as Greens, we raise all our funding from members and supporters. We don't get donations from big corporations or trade unions.
Since Nicola Day was elected in 2019, winning over 60% of the vote, Orton Waterville moved closer to becoming the first Green ward in Peterborough City. In 2021, that dream came true as Kirsty Knight was elected as the third Green Councillor, turning the ward completely Green. Last year, Heather Skibsted joined the Greens from Labour and has grown in the party. This year, another Councillor joined the Greens - Imtiaz Ali who represents Fletton and Woodston. Now, they all need your support to get over the line!
There is so much to do to be certain of winning. Every £300 will gift an extra leaflet for almost 4500 households. £150 gifts over 500 calling cards to residents, with £50 an extra 30 posters!
We rely on the dedication and hard-work of volunteers. Please share far and wide with friends and family! Donate generously if you possibly can!
Being ethically funded, we rely on grassroots donations to support our cause. Any generous gift can help bring more green voices on the council.
Ahead, we are ready for a General Election now, with three PMs in as many months. Nicola Day is our Green Party candidate for Peterborough. You can donate to support funding deposits for our campaign!
Any donations not spent in this campaign will be used to fund future Green Party election campaigns in Peterborough. By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK, and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person. All donations received are subject to the regulations of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. Promoted by Ray Knight on behalf of Peterborough Green Party, ℅ 6 Beckingham, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough PE2 5TL.
