10th April 2022A report of our day in France delivering aid and thanks to all of you who made it happen
Dear Friends
With your help we delivered a huge van of aid yesterday which included 80kg of dates, 10kg of harissa, 10kg of tahini, 80 boxes of creamed coconut, 12kg of nuts, 4kg of barberries, 8kg of seeds, 50 litres of olive oil, 60kg of fresh chillies, 10kg of dried chillies and 120kg of fresh chicken which we purchased from a local butcher. Click on the video above to see a selection of our purchases and images from our day. We are also contributing towards some lamb for Eid do it's not too late to donate.

We do regular aid missions so any additional funds will go to our next mission.
Thank you for your donations on here and to the individuals and businesses who gave donations of items, money and discounts on our shopping.
Shout out to Yaffa ( who donated some dates) and Alis Cash and Carry ( who gave us a good discount and a gift) in the UK and to Boucherie Marinot in Calais ( who sorted out our hala chicken order and gifted us some delicious pastries) and to Alex and Miriam at the Refugee Community Kitchen who were a delight to work with yesterday.
Here are a couple of videos of two absolutely wonderful volunteers at the Refugee Community Kitchen we had the pleasure of spending the day with , Alex and Miriam talking about why their work with the kitchen and the challenges for refugees and workers, just to achieve the basic human right of receiving a meal.

We are exhausted but glad to have been able to give some solidarity to our sisters and brothers stuck in limbo in France.
Thank you for the part you have played and wishing you a restful Sunday evening and good week ahead.
Solidarity and Best Wishes on behalf of the BARAC Humanitarian Aid Team -
