Here is an insight from the start and to were Alison is now on her journey with this life changing illness.
My story Alison Cater.
After feeling fatigue for over a year and it got to the point I was sleeping all day.
Something wasn't right
I made doctors appointments which checked my bloods, b12 injections which didn't work and then they thought I had sleep apnea. After various tests it was time for a ct scan, this showed up the tumour but I didn't know until I was called in for an mri scan on the 31 September 2022. Whilst waiting for my mri I was told I must go straight up to an hospital ward after my scan which I was then told I had an tumour the size of a tangerine and needed surgery to remove what they can. The consultant told me they could not remove 100% as the tumour is attached to the back of my brain and it would make me paralysed.
I was told if I didn't have the operation I had two months to live.
Saddest day having to go tell my family. Why me?
13th October was my first operation it took 13 hours long
They took a sample of the tumour to find out if it was cancer
After my operation I had to learn how to walk again and the surgery left me with my right eye squint so I had to wear an eye patch so I can only use one eye at a time.
Time to see the consultant again
The tumour was coming back as a grade 1 2 and 3 which is very unusual he also told me the mri scan is showing up the tumour had grown back quickly and would need another removal operation before starting chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
22 December was my second operation.
8 hours long
Lost my hearing in my left side and started a shaking tremor in my left arm.
I had 6 weeks radiotherapy which started February along with chemotherapy pills.
I am now on just the chemotherapy pills for 6 months which is taking every bit of energy out of me.
I've gone from am independent woman who worked and loved family days out and family holidays to having everything done for me.
I struggle daily now with life I cannot dress myself or do things like make meals, washing or even walk unaided. The biggest daily struggle is not being able to get in and out of the bath alone which is sole destroying. If i need some fresh air or change of scenery, i have to rely on my elderly mother which is so hard for her or my husband to push me in a wheelchair.

PLEASE SHARE THIS STORY TO HELP THIS LOVELY WOMAN AND DONATE TO HELP GET HER THE INDEPENDANCE SHE DESERVES.
