Aim

To grow PTech into Rugeley’s trusted local hub for affordable repairs, refurbished devices and honest tech support.

Hi, I’m Phil, the owner of PTech, a local independent tech repair business based in Rugeley.

I started PTech with a simple goal: to give local people somewhere they can trust for honest, affordable and reliable tech repairs.

Since opening, the support from the local community has been amazing. Customers have trusted us with their phones, tablets, laptops, PCs, consoles and important data. We’ve helped people save money by repairing devices instead of replacing them, recovered data, offered honest advice, and supported local families, students and small businesses when their tech has gone wrong.

Now I want to take PTech to the next stage.

The aim of this Crowdfunder is to help grow PTech into a stronger local tech repair and refurbished device hub for Rugeley. I want to expand what we can offer, improve our setup, stock more parts, hold affordable refurbished devices, and create a better local alternative to big chains and online-only sellers.

Technology is part of everyday life now. Phones, tablets, laptops and PCs are used for school, work, banking, communication, photos, appointments and running small businesses. When a device breaks, replacing it can be expensive. For many people, buying brand new simply isn’t realistic.

At the moment, there are very limited local options for affordable refurbished devices. People often have to travel, buy online without seeing the device first, or go to big chains where prices can be high.

I want PTech to offer a better local option.

A place where people can buy properly checked, cleaned and tested refurbished phones, tablets, laptops and PCs at fair prices, with honest advice and local aftercare if anything goes wrong.

The challenge is that holding stock requires upfront investment. Devices need to be bought before they can be tested, refurbished and made available for sale. As a small independent business, that cash flow can be difficult to build while also covering the everyday costs of running and growing the shop.

Funds raised through this campaign will help PTech invest in:

Affordable refurbished phones, tablets, laptops and PCs

More common repair parts for faster turnaround

Better tools and testing equipment

Shop and workshop improvements

Improved displays and customer experience

Local marketing to reach more people

Community-focused support for families, students, older customers and small businesses

This isn’t just about growing a business. It’s about keeping useful services local, helping people save money, reducing e-waste, supporting the high street, and giving Rugeley a trusted place to turn when tech breaks.

As PTech grows, I also want to give back where possible. That could mean occasional discounted devices for people who genuinely need help, student device support, affordable repairs, simple tech advice for older customers, and helping people avoid unnecessary expensive replacements.

PTech is not a big chain or faceless company. It is a local independent business trying to build something useful, trusted and long-lasting in Rugeley.
