To help our community netball club get back on it's feet after the pandemic. Raising funds to enter leagues, tournaments and play socially.
ALLSTARS NETBALL CLUB REUNITING THE FAMILY
Allstars Netball Club based in Hartlepool, training from Belle Vue Community Centre is a Community Club created by the community for the community.

We have been running for 15 years, growing massively in the last 3 years before COVID19 hit. Our club is like joining a family as we create a friendly safe space to be active and enjoy Netball.

Netball is a fantastic sport for women to play and often stops at school age. The sport can bring women back to activity which we know benefits their physical and mental health as well as providing them with new friends.
We offer Junior, Senior, Adults and Walking Netball sessions.

Why it's needed
The women living in Hartlepool can encounter a range of personal challenges leading to them not being active and removed from society. Netball can be an escapism for this and a way to build confidence back. Lack of activity levels due to the pandemic can lead to so many other factors such as being overweight, depressed and isolation.
Our Club will stop that and present an option for all our members new and old to come out of their shell, interact with likeminded people and slowly build their confidence and ability back up.
Quote from an adult participant "At school I was always the one left sat on the bench, never picked to join in the game so totally lost interest in the idea of ever being part of a sports team. My friend invited me to come along and just ‘have a go’ she said the other ladies were very friendly and it was fun. I have been going to netball for 9 months, and I love it!"
Quote from a parent of a young girl participant "I am really pleased Allstars accepted by daughter and welcomed her in. She has ADHD and Autism which comes with learning difficulties so she can find it hard to cope and manage in sports clubs. Everyone was really welcoming and she loves coming along."
Impact of COVID 19 on our club
Due to the pandemic a decision was made to stop members from paying their monthly subs as no sessions could happen, the effect this has had is we are now low on funds. Every year all our teams play in a league, sometimes several; the cost of each league is anywhere from £1000 plus, per team per season. teams can only enter a league if costs are paid upfront. At present we do not have the available funds to accommodate this, leaving our teams without a game to play. As you can imagine this will have a knock-on effect on their physical and mental wellbeing.
With help from this funding we aim to:
Everyone's support will make a massive difference to a club ran by volunteers, passionate about netball and supporting others to take part in the support and lead a happy and healthy lifestyle.
