A new accessible bike would enable more users managing life-changing conditions to stay active, independent and connected.
The Neuro Wellbeing Centre delivers practical support for people living with neurological and other life-changing conditions. Our physiotherapist-led accessible gym provides a welcoming, safe space to build strength, confidence and independence. Every session helps users to manage symptoms, regain mobility, reduce isolation and improve long-term health outcomes.

As a small, self-funded charity, we cannot easily afford to replace specialist equipment, without the help of generous donations and grant fundraising - and we now urgently need to replace an ageing bike, showing signs of wear and tear.
Being able to replace the bike will ensure those using our accessible gym, both today and in the future, will continue to have the best exercise experience possible, making them more likely to continue regular use and ensuring they achieve optimum results for their efforts.
The Centre's friendly physiotherapy team provide hundreds of accessible gym sessions every month. Though many users are referred to us from the NHS, we receive no statutory funding and rely on donations to operate.
For those with mobility challenges, going to a gym can be daunting, inaccessible and unaffordable - yet taking part in regular exercise can improve range of movement, strength and mobility, as well as providing much-needed opportunities for social interaction, with others dealing with similar challenges.
Our physiotherapy team provide individuals with bespoke exercise and advice that can support them at their most vulnerable and make a positive difference to their future.

A specialist bike will cost £9,715.
Sport England have already pledged £4,857, on the condition that we can crowdfund the remaining £4,858 by the end of September - so every pound raised will bring us closer to our target; enabling us to ensure our clients remain active, connected and thriving.
As soon as we reach our target, an order for the new bike will be made.
We are an inclusive charity supporting people dealing with often life-changing diagnoses, to manage their health challenges, reduce progression and retain their independence; so that they can lead happier, healthier lives.
The Centre supports around 400 active users and their families every year, though it's used by hundreds more visiting for exercise classes, massage, counselling and courses.
Alongside physical support and oxygen therapy, we offer counselling, a welcoming, inclusive community, social and information events, peer support opportunities and a support team, available to help clients and their families.
There are few accessible Centres in the area - and most of those only offer limited class opportunities. None offer qualified physiotherapy support in a specialist adapted gym at such low cost - and private physiotherapy provision is unaffordable and lacks accessible equipment. Available support on the NHS is often short term and quickly exhausted.
Here's how current users describe our service;
"A friendly light at the end of a very dark tunnel"
"Life changing"
"My reason to get up"
"The ONLY thing that helped my recovery"
"I'd be lost without it"
