We urgently need your help to power our campaign for a greener, fairer future. With an unexpected election upon us, we're racing against time to secure the funds needed to stand three passionate Green candidates and to spread our message through impactful leaflets.
Truthfully, we don't have enough money in the bank to fund both the candidate deposits and leaflets. Therefore, we need to raise £1,500 in order to field our three candidates:
Joe Hudson-Small for Stratford and Bow: Joe, an IT professional and activist, is dedicated to affordable housing and accessible public transport. Stratford and Bow is a contender for the top 10 most winnable seats nationally.
Rob Callender for West Ham and Beckton: Rob focuses on sustainability and community engagement, advocating for green policies that benefit the community.
Rosie Pearce for East Ham: Rosie lives in Upton Park and works in health and education policy. She is passionate about improving local air quality, promoting active transport, and ensuring equitable access to healthcare and education.
If we don’t raise our deposits, we risk losing that Green voice. Moreover, without leaflets to explain why voting Green matters, fewer people will be able to vote for us. All donations to your local Green Party on this crowdfunder will go directly to those two things.
Please help us by chipping in £20, or whatever you can afford, to help get us over the line. This surprise election is a chance for you to invest in a greener, fairer future.
Our Priorities
Climate Action: Real policies to tackle climate change and protect nature.
Affordable Housing: Secure, affordable homes for everyone with renter protections and community services.
Water Quality: Protecting our rivers and seas, including the Lea, Thames, and Roding, from sewage dumping is crucial. We advocate for bringing water companies back into public hands to prevent further harm.
Standard of Living: Immediate measures to address the cost of living, like increasing universal credit and raising the minimum wage.
Healthcare: Defending our NHS with proper funding to reduce waiting times and improve access to GPs and dentists.
Ceasefire in Gaza: Calling for a lasting ceasefire in Gaza and the safe release of hostages. We urge for an internationally arbitrated settlement for the safety and rights of Israeli and Palestinian citizens.
Every vote for the Green Party counts, not just for this election, but for the future. With "Short Money," each vote translates into funding that supports our party, helping us to strengthen our presence and impact.
How Your Donation Helps

£100 Delivers 1600 leaflets, outlining our offer to voters.
£500 Pays the fee for a candidate to stand (be added to the ballot paper).

Together, we can bring real hope and real change to Newham. Thank you for your generosity and support. Let's make this happen!
