Help fund food & supplies for a family of 15 members stuck in Gaza without a roof over their heads.
Help me fundraise for a dear friend and sister Madleen who lives in the West Bank. Madleen’s has been doing what she can to get money for supplies to her family of 15 including aunties, uncles, cousins and their children who are in Gaza. They were made homeless when their house was bombed, destroying their home and belongings. They have set up a makeshift tent on top of the rubble of their house, they are trapped in Gaza with nowhere to go and no shelter over their heads. Kind neighbours have shared food and water with them but they are a big family to feed, they are in need of supplies to keep them warm and dry and first aid kits to tend to their burn injuries.
Madleen is an old friend who I met nearly 20 years ago and was part of The Yaffa Cultural Center in Balata Camp, a youth theatre group. Back then, as young members of New Generation, the opportunity to fundraise to bring this group of Palestian youths over to London, arose. Together, we were a group of more than 20 young people, we shared stories, learnt about each others culture and socio-political context, the internal conflicts in Colombia and the occupation in Palestine. This was back in 2006, 18 years ago and a far cry from the reality our Palestinian brothers and sisters are living today.
Madleen lives in occupied and controlled West Bank with her young family, and works tirelessly as an emergency nurse, specialising in the care of children with diabetes mellitus.
Please help support this family, collectively we can offer them some ease during these dreadful times.
Thank you for your time, love and generosity xx
