Many of you already know me, as a war veteran journalist from Gaza who experienced atrocities and reported from the war-tone region for over 15 years.
But this time its a genocide like no other. I have already lost immediate family members and our houses destroyed in the bombing.
As if this is not enough my family like the rest of Gaza’s 2.5M people face starvation and its a miracle they are still alive.
I have a duty now to evacuate them to safety and to get them out of Gaza until the genocide ends. In order to do that large amount of money have to be paid for travel arrangements and coordination to the Egyptian authorities manning the Rafah crossing, Gaza's only way to the outside world.
We are talking about $5000 to $7000 per head. I have a big family consists of parents, siblings and their spouses and children, comes to a total of 40 family members.
Therefore the funds will ensure their survival and rebuilding our lives in the new place they will end up in.
