Please help me purchase a mobility scooter

I’m fundraising to purchase a mobility scooter that would make a huge difference to my daily life as I live with an incurable cancer.

Hi everyone, my name is Jason.

I’m fundraising to purchase a mobility scooter that would make a huge difference to my daily life as I live with Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer that affects my bones, strength, and mobility. This illness has taken a lot from me, and getting around safely has become harder over time.

Living with Multiple Myeloma hasn’t just affected my health — it has impacted every part of my life. My mental health has been significantly impacted; lost my marriage; and much of the support network I once had, which has made staying independent even more important.

A mobility scooter would help me manage daily tasks on my own and stay connected to the world around me.

Although I still have a car, it doesn’t solve the day‑to‑day challenges I face. A car can get me from A to B, but it can’t help me once I’m there.

A mobility scooter would allow me to do the things my car simply can’t — like:

* Going shopping in my local area

* Getting around supermarkets independently

* Travelling short distances without pain or exhaustion

* Getting to community activities and moving around once I’m there

* Staying connected with my community without relying on others

Right now, even simple tasks like popping to the shops or attending appointments can be difficult and draining. A scooter would give me back a level of independence, dignity, and freedom that my condition has taken away.

I’m hoping to raise £2,000 to purchase a reliable, long‑lasting mobility scooter that meets my needs. With the financial strain that comes with long‑term illness, I can’t afford this on my own.
