Aim

The immediate goal of this fundraiser is to help me cover my rent and essential expenses while I transition back to Los Angeles

I’ve started writing this so many times and kept deleting it because, honestly, I’m embarrassed. I’m scared. And asking for help is something I never thought I’d have to do in this chapter.

The last few months have been such a mix of emotions.

Moving to New York and getting to perform in a show was genuinely one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had. I worked so hard to get there, and getting to wake up, go to the theater, perform, and do what I love every night was something I didn’t take for granted.

There were so many moments where I would sit backstage or roll onto that stage and think, I can’t believe this is my life right now.

I got to be part of something that made me feel really proud and really happy. I’m so grateful I got that chapter.

But now the show has closed, and with it, my job ended.

So I’m back to being unemployed and trying to figure out what comes next while also moving from New York back to LA.

I’ve been silently fighting really hard to keep up with my bills for a while now. Then, on top of everything, we had unexpected vet bills come up that I just wasn’t prepared for. I’ve been doing everything I can to make things work, but I’ve reached a point where I need help

And right now, I’m looking at my rent this month and I don’t have enough to pay it.

I’m honestly terrified.

I don’t want people to think I’m asking because I don’t want to work. I just have no other options right now.

I do want to work. I’m looking for work. I spend all day applying for jobs only to be rejected for my disability. I’m trying to figure out my next opportunity and get myself back on my feet. I just need a little help getting through this really difficult in-between period.

So I’m putting my pride aside and asking.

If you’re able to donate, even $5 or $10, it would genuinely mean so much to me. It would help me get closer to covering my rent and give me a little room to breathe while I figure out what comes next.

And I want to pay the kindness forward.

I work with disabled dancers and artists, and I know how hard it can be to have a dream and not have the financial means to access the training that could help you reach it. As I’m able, I want to use the support I receive to help provide scholarships for private lessons or coaching to disabled artists who otherwise couldn’t afford them. I have so many artists ready to work who just cannot afford the lessons. I will immediately turn around and give them this access.

If you can’t donate, I completely understand. Please just share this. Seriously. Even sharing this with one person could make a difference for me.

I hate that I’m in a position where I have to ask. I hate admitting that I can’t handle everything on my own right now.

But I’m trying to learn that asking for help doesn’t mean I’ve failed.

Sometimes you just need someone to help you get through a hard season.

And this is one of those seasons for me.

Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring. Thank you for supporting me through all of the highs and lows.

I’m still here. I’m still fighting. And I’m still dreaming about what comes next.

I just need a little help getting there. ❤️
