Help me get my studio equipment back after the robbery.
There are no words to explain how I feel right now.
Two weeks ago I woke up full of joy and ready to work early on some music...and found out I was robbed in the night!
I feel a huge void in my heart through the loss of the things I worked so hard for in my studio.
One can only hope that karma will serve it's purpose to them someday.
I lost my CDJ's & Mixer, some of my synths but on the bright side thank god my Focal speakers and technics are too heavy to be taken away from me!
I have tried to claim insurance and they refused to payout due to the material my studio is built from regardless of the fact the lock was broken and nothing to do with how it was built. Can you believe it!
Here is their mail back to me ????
"Unfortunately we regret your claim cannot be accepted and we would request you refer to your policy document. A copy is attached for your use.
We would draw your attention to the ‘definitions’ section of the policy and in particular, the definition which outlines the ‘insured location’ which states: where the insured items are usually kept and at the address stated in your Insurance Schedule. This must be a building of standard brick or stone construction and either your main place of residence or your music business premises or studio as described below: a) Private house, your music business premises or studio - the main structures within the immediate private property boundaries"
Due to Covid, Like everyone else I haven't played any gigs I don't think I can recover my studio any time soon or quickly and after talking to my friends and family decided to set up a fundraise.
Every penny will help get me back in the game and carry on into next year.
I lost thousands of pounds of stuff and currently feel very low and unmotivated at the moment to move on and keep doing what I love.
I totally understand everyone is struggling during these hard times so for all the help I get I will continue to create joy putting of my new music.
