Help Me Buy Harlow Town Football Club

Aim

Reclaim the game. I'm raising £500k in 5 days to buy Harlow Town FC and build a club based on loyalty, coaching, and fans, not greed.

Why am I crowdfunding?

I am looking to reclaim the "soul" of the game by returning to the roots of community football. Harlow Town FC (The Hawks) provides the perfect canvas for this because non-league football is where the connection between the pitch and the terrace is still tangible.

By turning the club into a model of how football should be, we're not  just buying a team; we are building a sporting culture.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Spending the funding to implement the pillars of sportsmanship, loyalty and value.

The "Spirit of the Game"

• To change how football is played, you must change how it is taught.
• The "Hawks Way" Manifesto: Every coach, from the first team to the youth academy, signs a manifesto. It prioritizes creative, attacking football over "win-at-all-costs" tactics.
• Technical Literacy: Invest in coaching that focuses on ball mastery and intelligence rather than just physical size, creating a style that is actually entertaining for the fans to watch.
• The Respect Rule: Implement a club-wide policy where only the captain speaks to the referee. Dissent results in internal fines that go toward local Harlow charities.

Building Genuine Loyalty

• In an era of mercenary players, loyalty is built through the "Homegrown Path."
• Academy Integration: Reserve 20% of the first-team squad spots for players who have come through the Harlow youth ranks.
• Community Contracts: Include clauses where first-team players must spend 4 hours a week coaching in local Harlow schools or participating in community events. Players become neighbours, not celebrities.
• Long-term Stability: Offer slightly longer contracts to core players to end the "revolving door" culture common in the lower leagues.

Radical Value for Fans

The "True Cost" Ticket: Transparent pricing. Show fans exactly where their £10 entry goes (e.g., £3 to stadium upkeep, £4 to player wages, £3 to the academy).

Fan Ownership/Governance: Give the Supporters' Trust a seat on the board with "Golden Share" veto power over the club’s colours, name, and stadium location. If no trust exists, to create one.

Affordable Matchdays: Cap the price of a pint and a pie. Make it so a family of four can attend for under £40, something impossible at the higher levels.
