Help Llantwit Major AFC improve our ground

Aim

We will use any funds raised to help improve our ground as we push for promotion to the top flight in Wales.

Who are we?

We are Llantwit Major AFC, currently playing in the Cymru South. We've come a long way in the past years, rising through the divisions all the way from the amateur leagues. This season has been the greatest in our history, as we have lead the table for most of the campaign, and have a chance to become champions if we continue to perform in our final three games. 

However, our application for promotion to the Cymru Premier was denied due to some work that needs to be done at our ground. Any donation you can make, big or small, will go a long way towards helping the ultimate underdog story come true. 

Community impact

We have teams of all age groups and all genders, with hundreds of children enjoying playing their football with us. Our support is diverse and across numerous communities, with people of all ages and backgrounds coming out to support us. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

The cost of the improvements needed to reach the top flight in Wales is incredibly expensive. Unlike many clubs in our division, we do not have an extremely rich investor or the support of university - we rely on our sponsors, ticket sales, and other financial support. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and supporters we are almost there, but every donation will make a huge difference to our journey. 

How we’ll spend the money raised

All donations raised will solely be spent on improving our ground - no money at all will go to players or staff. We will post updates on our Twitter feed of the progress we're making, and anyone who donates will have a warm welcome waiting for them at a match next season!

 Some specifics include:

• Adding a hard standing area around the pitch, improving access for supporter in a wheelchair or with other mobility issues.
• Add a second entrance to the ground, improving access for supporters and cutting waiting times
• Improve the away dressing room to ensure comfort for both teams 
• Add more seats, allowing more supporters the choice to sit down if they prefer this to standing
• Cover the fence around the pitch, ensuring we do not lose money from people refusing to pay the entry fee
